An Italian design heavyweight, this year Giuseppe Zanotti is celebrating its twentieth anniversary by revisiting several of its most iconic designs in four capsule collections. Redesigned entirely in gold, theCruel Summer sandals are a stand-out piece in the first Jewel capsule.
In a smooth mix of eroticism and punk esthetics, Giuseppe Zanotti's designs have been clicking down pavements in Milan, Paris and New York for 20 years. To celebrate the anniversary, the Italian designer is launching four capsule collections of redesigns of several its most emblematic shoes. Jewel is the first of the collections to launch, featuring six pairs of Zanotti sandals, including an all-gold version of Cruel Summer. The sandals were first designed for Spring/Summer 2012 in collaboration with Kanye West, who had just released the Cruel Summer compilation featuring many of the artists signed to his label G.O.O.D. Available now in stores, the Jewel capsule will soon be followed in September, November and February with Rock'n'roll, Black Stilettos and Disco, the second, third and fourth Giuseppe Zanotti anniversary collections.
