ΤΜΗΜΑ ΣΧΕΔΙΑΣΜΟΥ ΚΑΙ ΤΕΧΝΟΛΟΓΙΑΣ ΞΥΛΟΥ ΚΑΙ ΕΠΙΠΛΟΥ Ένα Τμήμα ΤΕΙ με μοναδικές προοπτικές και μοντέρνο γνωστικό αντικείμενο

Το Τμήμα Σχεδιασμού και Τεχνολογίας Ξύλου και Επίπλου του ΤΕΙ Θεσσαλίαςείναι μοναδικό στην ελληνική ανώτατη τριτοβάθμια εκπαί-δευση. Διακρίνεται για τη στενή του αλληλεπίδραση με την ελληνική αγορά εργασίας, το πλήθος των συνεργασιών σχεδιαστικής, τεχνολογικής και εφαρμοσμένης έρευνας και το ρεκόρ επαγγελματικής αποκατάστασης των αποφοίτων του (>50%). Όλα αυτά μαζί το καθιστούν μοναδικό και πετυχημένο στα ΤΕΙ.

Οι απόφοιτοί του είναι οι αυριανοί Σχεδιαστές και Tεχνολόγοι ξύλου και επίπλου, οι οποίοι σκοπεύουν να αναδείξουν το ελληνικό design και να υποστηρίξουν όλους τους τομείς της ελληνικής οικονομίας: της παραγωγής και του εμπορίου που έχουν συνάφεια με το ξύλο, το έπιπλο ή/και τις ξυλοκατασκευές. «Οι απόφοιτοί μας είναι έτοιμα στελέχη παραγωγής που καλύπτουν πολλά εξειδικευμένα αντικείμενα στην αγορά εργασίας: μπορεί να εργαστούν ως σχεδιαστές επίπλων, ξυλοκατασκευών ή/και αντικειμένων, υπεύθυνοι γραμμής παραγωγής σε μηχανές CNC, τεμαχιστικές και συγκολλητικές μηχανές, διακοσμητές με έμφαση στη διακόσμηση από ξύλο, τεχνολόγοι προϊόντων ξύλου, πωλητές και υπεύθυνοι marketing σε εταιρείες συναφείς με έπιπλο και ξύλο, στελέχη επιχειρήσεων ξύλου-επίπλου κ.ά.», τονίζει ο πρόεδρος του τμήματος, καθ. Γιώργος Μαντάνης.

Ρεκόρ επαγγελματικής αποκατάστασης
Η επιλογή φοίτησης των σπουδαστών στο συγκεκριμένο τμήμα σίγουρα δεν γίνεται τυχαία. Όπως έδειξε η πρόσφατη έκθεση εσωτερικής αξιολόγησης του ΤΕΙ Θεσσαλίας (πρώην Λάρισας), πρόκειται για ένα από τα πιο δυναμικά και παραγωγικά τμήματα του Ιδρύματος, με σύγχρονες εγκαταστάσεις και εργαστηριακό-ερευνητικό εξοπλισμό. Επιπλέον, η φοίτηση σ’ αυτό εξασφαλίζει καλές εργασιακές προοπτικές. Μάλιστα, οι πτυχιούχοι του σε αρκετά μεγάλο ποσοστό (>50%), βρίσκουν δουλειά πριν τη λήψη του πτυχίου τους, σύμφωνα με πρόσφατη έρευνα.

Εκπαιδευτική καινοτομία
Όλα ξεκίνησαν από ένα όραμα εκπαιδευτικής καινοτομίας του τ. καθηγητή Ι. Κακαρά, που είναι ο ιδρυτής του τμήματος. Το όραμά του ήταν οσυνδυασμός των Εφαρμοσμένων Τεχνών (Σχεδιασμός Επίπλου, Κατασκευών και Αντικειμένου) με τηνΤεχνολογία (Τεχν. Ξύλου και Παραγωγής Επίπλου και Κατασκευών). Το όραμα του έγινε πράξη και το τμήμα λειτούργησε αυτοδύναμα το 2002, στο παράρτημα του τ. ΤΕΙ/Λ στην Καρδίτσα. Σήμερα στεγάζεται σε δύο ιδιόκτητα νέα κτίρια ~3.500 τ.μ., όπου από πλευράς εργαστηρίων, αιθουσών, υποδομών, σπουδαστικών εστιών, εστιατορίων και βιβλιοθήκης, ο σπουδαστής συναντά ό,τι καλύτερο έχει να επιδείξει η ανώτατη τεχνολογική εκπαίδευση στη χώρα μας (ιστοσελίδα τμήματος: www.wfdt.teilar.gr).

DIY: Beaded Skeleton Necklace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep reading to see how I made this necklace -- 

Supplies:

- Long chain

- Jump ring

- Head pin

- Skull bead

- 4 crimp beads

- Seed beads

- 28 gauge wire

- 3-in-1 jewelry pliers

- Scissors

Optional: 

-Small flower flat back embellishment

- Strong craft glue (such as E-6000)

1) Add seed beads to the head pin.

2) Add the skull bead, leaving about .25 in (0.635 cm) left on the head pin. Use the pliers to create a loop from the remaining length of the head pin.

3) Cut a length of wire. 10 in (25.4 cm) should be more than enough!

4) Add a seed bead, a crimp bead, and another seed bead. Take the end of the wire and insert it through the crimp bead and the first seed bead (second photo). 

5) With the flat portion of the pliers, flatten the crimp bead. Add on about 7 more seed beads, make sure that the end of the wire is threaded through the seed beads as well.

6) Wrap the wire a bit below the skull (first photo), in between seed beads. I wrapped tightly about 3 times. Add another 7 beads - or however many you added on the first side! - a crimp bead, and another seed bead.

7) Insert the end of the wire through the crimp bead, then back through several of the seed beads. Pull the wire so that the second "arm" stays close to the "body". I found that holding the entire arm down (first photo) then tugging the wire helped a great deal.

8) Wrap around the center a few times, and trim the wire with scissors. Repeat Steps 2-7 for the legs, making them a tad bit longer!

9) Add a jump ring to the loop, and add to the chain.

Optional: Use strong craft glue such as E-6000 to glue a small flower flat back to the arm. The one I used was ordered off of Etsy.

This is one of those quirky, kitschy projects - which I love. It really only uses up a few supplies, too. I'm tempted to make a few more in different colors!

Colour: Earthy and Natural

Influenced highly by the hippies, the colours which dominate the boho chic fashion are mundane colours like brown, deep green and khaki. The idea is to mix and match these earthy colours. If you want to add on something bright, make sure it is only one clothing article.

Like perhaps team up a khaki coloured patterned flowing skirt with a brown halter and wear a red stole around your neck. Here you can see that the only bright clothing article is the red stole, rest is very neutral.

Layers and Patterns

Layering is the most basic rule of bohemian fashion. The idea is to mix and match and layer the different patterns with each other. It can be a fitting long spaghetti dress with an off-shoulder top along with a heavy printed scarf.

Layering also needs to be done to a certain extent and should not be overboard. Some examples of boho clothing are harem pants, tunics, gypsy skirts, long flowy dresses and lose embroidered tops.

Accessories

When you think of accessories, think of chunky jewellery. There are heavy necklaces, simple headbands, thick belts, multiple bangles or bracelets and heavy earrings.

They are mainly made up of either antique looking metal or beads. Bags are important accessory in the bohemian fashion world. They are generally in woven fabric with lots of embroidery and fringes.
