Fashion jewellery.....fall/winter 2013-2014

Dolce Gabbana Fall/Winter 2013-2014 and the treasures of the Santa Maria Nuova cathedral, in Monreale. Heavy gold and profusion of mosaic patterns gave way to a series of opulent Byzantine crosses worn as earrings, necklaces or crowns.

For Fall/Winter 2013-2014, the Lanvin creative director took as a starting point the words Love, Cool, Happy, Help which appeared on the runway as a chunky gold jewelry series.

Olivier Rousteing took earrings further this season, with a collection of transparent plastic pendant earrings that reflected the jeweled colors of the Balmain epaulette jackets back on the girls, in a prism of colored light.

Ralph Lauren Fall/Winter 2013-2014, in a collection that bridged the two literary classics. A double inspiration that produced two distinct silhouettes, both accessorized with Baroque chandelier earrings.

ART installation.... Matchstick men!!!!

German artist Wolfgang Stiller created an installation of giant matchsticks featuring charred faces sculpted on to the end. Using pieces of lumber and head molds, the artist fabricated the pieces to seem as though the faces emerged after the match was struck and burned-out.

Rodrigo Machaz...The Hotelier

Ο Rodrigo Machaz γεννήθηκε και μεγάλωσε  στη Λισαβόνα. Πήρε το πτυχίο του στη σχολή τουριστικών επαγγελμάτων του Cornell University της Νέας Υόρκης και εργάστηκε 4 χρόνια στο Four Seasons. Μετά το θάνατο του παππού του, ιδρυτή των γνωστών ξενοδοχείων Tivoli η οικογένεια τα πουλά όμως εκείνος έχοντας ήδη το μικρόβιο μέσα του σκέφτηκε να ιδρύσει το δικό του ξενοδοχείο με το δικό του τρόπο.  Το ξενοδοχείο του Memmo Beleeir βρίσκεται σε ένα ψαροχώρι στην ακτή της Algarve στην Πορτογαλία. Συνδεδεμένος με την τοπική κουλτούρα ήθελε να ανοίξει ένα ξενοδοχείο που να αντανακλά το περιβάλλον. Ο ίδιος δηλώνει: “Δεν προσπαθήσαμε να επιβάλουμε τον μινιμαλισμό, αλλά εστιάσαμε σε αυτό που είναι όμορφο. Εδώ η πολυτέλεια δεν βρίσκεται στα μαρμάρινα μπάνια αλλά στο να απολαμβάνεις ένα ποτήρι κρασί κοιτώντας το ηλιοβασίλεμα”.
